Cinematographer at work

Get yourself in front of the camera and network with industry professionals.

Want to be an extra in a television series? Do you want the opportunity to network with entertainment industry members, add to your showreel, or dress up in 1830s clothing?

This is your opportunity to volunteer as an extra in a three-part ABC drama-documentary titled Australia on Trial which is set in the Supreme Courts of Victoria and New South Wales from 1830 to 1880.

Australia on Trial is directed by Malcolm McDonald (The Colony, Monash: The Forgotten Anzac), Lisa Matthews (Darwin’s Brave New World) and Ana Kokkinos (Head On, The Secret Life of Us). It is produced by December Films, one of Australia’s most experienced production companies in factual and documentary program-making.

Filming will wrap up on Friday 29 July, so if you’re 18 or over and available weekdays, sign up now.

To volunteer, email shaun.mcalpine@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Extras for Australia on Trial’.
