Information session: 2012 Cultural Visions Scholarship
The RMIT Cultural Visions Scholarship is a special opportunity for RMIT students interested in film and video production to get funding to make a short documentary.

The scholarship ($2500) is awarded at the start of each year for a documentary or short film exploring cultural integration and its effect on social/community dynamics in Australian communities – past, present and/or future.
Applications for the next scholarship will be open in January/February 2012. If you are interested in applying this information session will assist you in preparing your application. The 2010 scholarship film will be screened at this session.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be a TAFE or Higher Education student in their second or third year of study, or an Honours student at RMIT University, and can represent any discipline or program
- have resided continuously in Australia for two years or more
- submit an application package that will be assessed by a selection panel which should include:
- a three minute sample of the applicant’s film work
- a three page project proposal which includes a description of the film proposed, risk assessment of the project, and a statement of benefit of the project to the location and people involved (Australia or overseas)
- be available to attend an interview if shortlisted.
