10 December 2009
The administration of several programs within the College of Business will change from 1 January 2010. The renaming of three Schools will reflect the range of programs taught in each School.
On this page:
The names take effect from 1 January 2010.
It is anticipated that this change over will take months to implement. The important thing is that from 1 January 2010 all new materials produced will use the new School names.
How much is this change costing the organisation?
The changeover will be done in such a way to reduce replacement costs of material. And rather than spending large sums of money on replacing materials and redesigning systems, the changeover will occur as a part of normal system updates. For example, RMIT’s computer systems, including the web site, will not change overnight, however, changes will be incorporated when routine system changes are scheduled.
All staff should ensure that the name change is reflected in correspondence from 1 January 2010, and materials within your control are updated. This may include:
After a few months, if you notice that references to the old School name still exist, please report it to the College Marketing and Business Development Unit businessevents@rmit.edu.au
Please ensure that this information is passed on to relevant managers and colleagues in the University.
For marketing, web and communications questions please contact the Marketing and Business Development Unit via email businessevents@rmit.edu.au or phone extension 51352.
For general enquiries, please contact Gina Lyons on extension 55744.
