Wherever you are on campus, you can connect to RMIT’s fast Wi-Fi. No matter how you work or where you work, you’re able to connect, collaborate and create using this secure network.
RMIT offers the following wireless networks on and around campus:
RMIT–University network is available to RMIT students, RMIT staff and authorised visitors. This secure or ‘closed access’ network will appear in the Wi-Fi settings of your device. It enables authorised users to access the internet and RMIT’s network.
RMIT–Support network is available to all members of the RMIT community. This ‘open access’ network will appear in the Wi-Fi settings of any device you may choose to work on.
User guides contain step-by-step instructions explaining how to gain access to the RMIT wireless networks, no matter which mobile device or laptop you bring onto campus.
eduroam is available to students from visiting universities. This independent wireless network, allows mobility between educational institutions for authorised users. Instructions on accessing eduroam can be found in this user guide.
RMIT offers free wireless access to participants of conferences held at RMIT. Simply request access through the myTechSupport form, allowing us 10 days’ notice.
