TAFE census dates

Census dates explained

A census date is the deadline by which you must take certain actions, such as dropping a class. Census dates apply to each class or ‘unit of study’ you are enrolled in.

The TAFE census dates are applicable to RMIT students enrolled in a TAFE program, including apprentices and trainees.

Note: Census dates cannot be extended.

Determine your census date

Each TAFE class has a different census date, which depends on:

  • the month that classes started
  • the length of the class.

To determine the census dates for your classes you can:

  1. browse the census date lists for TAFE classes, or
  2. Log in to myRMIT:
    • Select the link to Enrolment Online.
    • Select the My student record button.
    • Under Enrolment details, select Enrol (add, drop or change classes).
    • Select your semester, then choose the Continue button.
    • Census dates are shown for each class in which you are enrolled.

Note:

  • If you are enrolled in ELICOS you should contact RMIT English Worldwide for information regarding census dates that apply to these classes.
  • Always determine your own census dates. Do not rely on advice from other students or friends.
