Applying for scholarships
Scholarships and grants are considered on the basis of applications by a selection committee or as per individual scholarship or grant requirements.
The scholarship and grant process is competitive and not all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can be awarded a scholarship or grant.
Eligibility criteria
- Read all of the eligibility criteria for a scholarship prior to applying. On most occasions, you do not need to be enrolled in your program at RMIT to apply for a scholarship as most program offers are made after the scholarship application close date.
- Please check with each individual scholarship eligibility criteria/application process as they can differ.
How applications are assessed
- Scholarship selection committees use only the information you provide when assessing applications.
- List all your circumstances and provide certified supporting documentation with your application as requested.
Note: - If you fail to submit a complete application by not providing all your circumstances and supporting documentation as requested in your application by the due date, you will disadvantage yourself in the selection process.
- Original documents will not be returned.
Supporting documentation
- If your application requires supporting documentation, your certified supporting documentation must be stapled to your scholarship application.
- Do not submit your application and supporting documentation in a folder unless requested.
Fax or emailed applications
- Faxed or emailed copies of your application and certified supporting documentation will not be accepted on most occasions – carefully review the application for how to submit your application.
Late applications
- Late applications will not be accepted, ensure you submit your application (and any required certified supporting documentation) by the due date and time.
