Website changes
As part of the Web Foundation project, we’ve updated the RMIT site. This is the latest work in an ongoing effort to improve the main website.
The new site:
- gives users a more intuitive website experience
- progressively introduces audience-dedicated sites
- prepares the website for the major improvements coming during the Web Transformation.
Summary of the Homepage changes

(1) Navigation changes
Top level (white text labels): The new site switcher allows you to go straight to the Alumni, Students or Staff sites, as well as switch between the Australian and Vietnamese sites.
Second level (grey text labels): Links revised, and mobile link highlighted. During our testing, we found these revised links to be useful to all users.
Primary navigation (black text labels): Links revised. The focus here is to give prospective students and the public an easy, clear pathway to explore RMIT’s offerings.
(2) Carousel
Wider carousel adds breathing space for graphics, headlines and story intros; pause control added.
(3) Quick links
Quick links repositioned based on key user tasks.
