Learning and teaching
The School of Medical Sciences and Health Innovations Research Institute (HIRi) are major hubs for biomedical research at Bundoora campus west. They house several internationally recognised research groups (with ERA ratings of 4 and 5) and conduct multidisciplinary and collaborative research to address key Australian health issues.
RMIT offers a variety of learning and teaching approaches including lectures, seminars, studios, workshops, presentations, group discussions and syndicate work. These are primarily in English.
You will have access to the Learning Hub and other online and digital resources through the myRMIT student portal.
Ongoing assessment throughout the semester includes examinations, essays, reports, oral classes, presentations, group projects, research projects, laboratory projects and practical assignments.
Program structure
The Honours year is a research project, with the major assessment being the presentation of a thesis.
You’ll build on your existing academic capabilities and develop your research skills to gain a broader understanding of biomedical research.

Program entry requirements
Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) or an equivalent 3- or 4-year undergraduate degree in the field.
Particular emphasis will be placed on academic performance, denoted by a high Grade Point Average (2.5 minimum) or its equivalent in a related undergraduate program at RMIT or other universities.
Applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Program Coordinator and proposed supervisor.

Fees
Tuition fees vary according to program and are adjusted annually.
In a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) your tuition fee is shared between you and the Commonwealth Government - if you meet the eligibility criteria.

- pay all or part of your student contribution up front and receive a 10% discount, or
- defer your tuition fees through the HECS-HELP loan scheme.
