RMIT is a global university that gives you the chance to explore the world. Whether you want to study abroad, obtain an international industry placement or undertake research, there's a scholarship or grant to help you broaden your horizons.

Diploma and certificate

• John Storey Junior Memorial Scholarship For local currently enrolled RMIT students applying for the RMIT Exchange Program; worth up to $5000; applications close July and December.
• RMIT Equity Travel Grant For local students travelling internationally for study; worth $4000; applications open September 2013.
• RMIT Student Mobility Grant For local or international students worth up to $2,500; depending on the mobility destination and type of the mobility activity.

• Australian Government OS HELP Loan Scheme For local degree students travelling internationally for study; worth up to $6051; applications close dependant on your circumstances.
• DIISRTE Awards for overseas exchange students For local undergraduate students undertaking an overseas exchange or study abroad program; worth up to $5000; no application required.
• Damian Rasmussen Scholarship For students studying full time in landscape architecture program and who are travelling internationally for study; worth up to $700; applications open October 2013.
• Jacques Nasser Entrepreneurship Travel Scholarship For local Bachelor of Business (Entrepreneurship) students traveling internationally to attend an entrepreneurship conference; worth $2500; applications closed for 2013.

• A.M.E. Bale Travelling Scholarship and Art Prize
  For emerging Australian artists who have demonstrated talent and achievement in traditional styles. Applications close 1 October 2012.
• Apple University Consortium WWDC Scholarships
  Assists student developers to attend the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference.
• Aurora Scholars’ Study Tour Scholarship
  For Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students considering postgraduate study overseas, to visit UK and US institutions. Applications close 24 July 2013.
• Australian Bicentennial Scholarships & Fellowships
  For Australians to do one-off postgraduate study or fellowship in the United Kingdom. Applications close 5 April 2012.
• Australian Biological Resources Study - Student Travel Bursary
  For travel to conferences or workshops relevant to both the student’s research program in taxonomy or systematics.
• Australian German Association Goethe-Institut Fellowship
  For postgraduate students to undertake intensive language study and a research project of their choice in Germany. Applications close 31 May 2013.
• Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE) Travel Scholarships
  For presentation of AINSE-supported research at an international meeting.
• Embassy of France in Australia - Cotutelle Travel Grants
  For Australian or French students registered in a Cotutelle program.
• Finnish Government Scholarships
  For PhD students, provides funding for 3-9 months study in Finland.
• Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarships
  For those who show great promise in the arts and literature. Applications close 26 November 2012.
