How to Cook Your Life: A Public Talk on Zen
Take time out from your busy life in the peaceful surrounds of the Spiritual Centre on the City campus.
In the 13th Century, Zen master Dogen wrote the seminal manual for Zen practice: Instructions for the Zen Cook.
Drawing parallels between preparing meals and the practice of Zen, Dogen revealed how to approach the very practice of living our lives, here and now. Guest speaker Muho Roshi - abbot of Antaiji Zen monastery in Japan - takes up Dogen’s theme in this special public lecture. Roshi will speak about how to live with an unbiased mind in the midst of our busy world.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions following the talk.
When: Tuesday 29 November, 6.30pm-8pm
Where: Spiritual Centre, Building 11, City campus
