Vice-President Resources and Chief Operating Officer Mr Steve Somogyi

The Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President Resources, Mr Steve Somogyi, contributes to operational efficiency and effectiveness and helps ensure the people, financial and infrastructure needs of the Group are met.

Steve is responsible for the establishment of a strong service operation in support of all RMIT stakeholders. He leads corporate services and ensures it has sufficient capability and an effective service orientation, including:

  • Establish and control appropriate risk management strategies throughout RMIT.
  • Develop, implement and maintain processes, systems and facilities to enable achievement of RMIT goals.
  • Ensure effective and rigorous planning, measurement and reporting of financial outcomes to allow achievement of RMIT strategies in a controlled manner.
  • Enable the development of people and processes to allow them to maximise consistent achievement of their development opportunities and contribution to RMIT.
