How to apply for research programs

Step 1: Find a supervisor

Refer to a list of research supervisors by academic college. You must contact a supervisor(s) and get a written confirmation from them indicating they are willing to supervise your research.

Step 2: Find the program name and program code

Refer to the list of research programs available to international students. Check that the program you wish to apply for is available in the intake of your choice. Some programs are not available in the July intake, in which case, your application will be considered for the next available intake.

Step 3: Check entry requirements

Make sure you check the entry requirements, English language requirements, prerequisites and selection tasks of each program. This information is available in the under the heading Entry requirements in each program summary.

Step 4: Ensure you have all supporting documents ready

To ensure that your application is processed in a timely manner, you must submit a complete set of supporting documents. Specific requirements are listed on the entry requirements pages listed above.
