Honorary Awards Conferred By RMIT

RMIT may choose to honor individuals external to RMIT, past members of Council and current and retired members of staff may be acknowledged through the following:

Presentation of Honorary Awards

The awards will normally be conferred by the Chancellor at an honorary awards ceremony which is held in May. Where the award is an Honorary Doctorate, the recipient will normally deliver a very short speech.

Right to Use Award Nomenclature

Recipients of each Honorary Doctorate and Honorary University Fellowship shall be entitled to cite the official award abbreviation as a qualification.
