University wide scholarships are open to all students across the University.
- Australian Government OS HELP Loan Scheme For local degree students travelling internationally for study; worth up to $6051; applications close dependant on your circumstances.
- Emeritus Professor John Jackson Scholarship For local diploma or degree commencing students demonstrating financial/educational disadvantage; worth tuition fees plus up to $17,000 contribution to study and living expenses; not currently taking applications.
- Ernest William Capp Scholarship For local diploma or degree students having financial and educational difficulties and can demonstrate a will to succeed; worth up to $1000; applications now closed for 2013.
- Evelyn Boekemann Scholarship For Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students in a diploma or degree program; worth a one-off payment of up to $1000; applications now closed for 2013.
- George Alexander Foundation Scholarship For local diploma or degree students with academic ability, leadership potential, a passion for community involvement and the will to succeed; worth $7500 per year. applications now closed for 2013.
- Inder Kaur Scholarship For female commencing local, current/past refugee degree students having financial difficulties; worth $7000 per year for up to three years; applications now closed for 2013.
- Indigenous Access Scholarship For Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander degree students moving to Melbourne from a remote or rural area to start an RMIT program; worth $4659; applications now closed for 2013.
- Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship For Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander degree students from a remote or rural area; worth $4939 per year for up to four years; applications now closed for 2013.
- Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship For Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander degree students; worth $2469 per year for up to four years; applications now closed for 2013.
- John Storey Junior Memorial Scholarship For local currently enrolled RMIT students applying for the RMIT Exchange Program; worth up to $5000; applications close July and December.
- Northcote Trust Scholarship For local diploma and degree students progressing from a diploma to a degree in the same field; worth $10,000–$15,000 over two to three years; applications now closed for 2013.
- Orcadia Foundation Scholarship For local and refugee students with financial / education disadvantages; worth up to $5000 as a one off payment; applications now closed for 2013.
- RMIT Accommodation Support Scholarship For local commencing students moving to Melbourne to study; worth $5200 towards accommodation for one year; applications close 14 June 2013.
- RMIT Achievement Scholarship For local commencing degree students with outstanding Year 12 results; worth $6000 per year throughout a degree; applications now closed for 2013.

- RMIT Student Mobility Grant For local or international students worth up to $2,500; depending on the mobility destination and type of the mobility activity.

- RMIT Village Accommodation Support Scholarship For disadvantaged local commencing students moving to Melbourne to study; worth up to $5544 towards accommodation at RMIT Village in your first year; applications now closed for 2013.
- Rural Grant For Australian diploma or degree students from a farming background; worth a one-off payment of $5000; applications now closed for 2013.
- Scholarships for high-achieving international applicants If you are an international student applying to study in one of the following programs at RMIT in Semester 2 2013 (July intake), this scholarship could pay a contribution towards your tuition fees.
