Regulation 5.1.2 - Conferring of awards
Pursuant to Statute 5.1 Awards the Council of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology makes the following Regulation entitled-5.1.2 Conferring of Awards
1. Subject to any Statute or Regulation the Council may by resolution approve that an ward be conferred on a candidate.
2. A candidate pursuant to section 1 may make application in such form as shall be prescribed by the Academic Registrar to have an award conferred provided that no such candidate shall have any award conferred unless the candidate has:
(a) made application in such form as may be prescribed;
(b) paid the prescribed fees; and
(c) paid any charge, fee or fine whatsoever which the candidate may owe to the University.
3. The Council may prescribe:
(a) the form and style of all awards
(b) the form to be used in the presentation of candidates for Awards; and
(c) the procedure and circumstances in which the university may issue a testamur for any Award already conferred.
4. Notwithstanding the provisions of this Statute the Council may posthumously confer any award on any candidate who has satisfied the provisions of section 1.
