1. Program Advisory Committees

Each RMIT coursework program should be supported by an Advisory Committee. |
2. Appointing members

a) Prospective members of Program Advisory Committee are nominated by the Head of School. |

b) Nominations are forwarded to the Portfolio Board, using the Notice of Change to Program Advisory Committee Form, outlining the areas of expertise of nominees. |

c) Following approval by the Portfolio Board, the School prepares and sends a letter inviting the prospective new member to join the Program Advisory Committee for a period of two years. |

d) The new member will be provided with the Terms of Reference and Membership of the Program Advisory Committee. |

3. Re-appointing members

a) Members are eligible for re-appointment for one further term and nomination will be forwarded to the Portfolio Board for approval using the Notice of Change to Program Advisory Committee Form. |

b) Following approval by the Portfolio Board, the School prepares a letter inviting the members to join the Committee for one further term (two years) |

4. Resignation or retirement of members

a) Notices of Resignation or retirement of members are forwarded to the Portfolio Board for noting, using the Notice of Change to Program Advisory Committee Form. |

b) Following noting by the Portfolio Board, the School prepares and sends a letter of thanks for the contribution of the member. |

c) The School will nominate a replacement member for approval by the Portfolio Board for members who have retired or resigned when appropriate. |

5. Membership records
