Maintenance of the RMIT scope of registration
Procedure
Intent and objectives
To ensure that the RMIT Scope of Registration is accurate and up to date, such that all programs for which RMIT issues AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment appear on the Scope of Registration, that no inactive programs appear on the Scope of Registration, and that AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment are only issued for current programs.

Access NTIS database to check whether the University already has authority to conduct the proposed Training Package qualification or accredited course. Use the Guidelines on Checking Program Information to search the NTIS database. |

If the program is not listed on the RMIT Scope of Registration, fill out Proforma 2 Application to Amend the RMIT Scope of Registration, have it signed by the Head of School and Associate Director (TAFE) and forward to Academic Policy Branch. Specify if program is intended for interstate or offshore delivery. (For offshore delivery or delivery onshore to international students, also follow the approval processes laid out in the RMIT Offshore Activities Approvals Process). |

Send letter to Skills Victoria (signed by Director TAFE) requesting program be added to the RMIT Scope of Registration and notify AMS TAFE Course Administrator of pending program to be added to Scope. |

If program is intended for interstate or overseas delivery, apply to Skills Victoria for mutual recognition. File response and send copy of reply to relevant Associate Director TAFE (cc Program Manager/Coordinator). |

Seek advice from Portfolio as to whether they wish to retain/delete entries on the Scope of Registration, and what end date on such programs or courses is to be. (Note that Portfolios can request deletion of programs or courses in line with portfolio strategic profile planning by applying to the Academic Policy Branch at any time. (Ref: Proforma 4 – Notification of Program Discontinuance). |
