Intermediate program awards - 7.28.2.1 policy and procedure

Policy

Introduction

Where there is complete articulation between programs, students who complete the longer award will have completed also the academic requirements for the shorter award, and may seek to have the shorter award conferred on them in addition to the longer award.

This policy and procedure is designed to facilitate this process. It should be applied only where RMIT wishes to encourage students to take out both awards.

Policy

It is the policy of RMIT that where there is complete articulation between two programs, then the shorter program award may be accepted as an intermediate award of the longer program. For the purpose of this policy, enrolment into the longer program shall be deemed to include enrolment into the intermediate program. Only where there is 100 per cent articulation between programs can the shorter program award be approved as an intermediate award of the longer program.
