      Project overview

The Building 3 façade required an update to improve its functionality and visual appeal. The design options were prepared by Peter Elliott Architects.

The newly completed University Lawn flanks Building 3. This central area of the City Campus has undergone significant visual improvements. As a result, it was important to reinstate the external glazed façade to Building 3 to add to the enhancements.

A major feature of this refurbishment project was the addition of a double layered glass curtain wall. This wall wraps to the back of the building and provides shelter and sun control on the east façade.

The University is currently considering several solar panel options for Building 3. Ideally, these panels will power four ventilation fans. The Building 3 fans have been installed to extract heat from between the two east-facing glass facades. The solar panels will be east-facing and possess photovoltaic technology.
