Project overview
The refurbishment of Level 3 of Building 57 is the first stage of this major renovation project. The new premises will house the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SAMME), Creative Media and the School of Engineering (TAFE) staff.
The refurbishment of Level 5 of Building 56 is the second and final stage of the renovation projects. Works include the construction of classrooms, computer laboratories, administrative space and common areas for the University community.
Energy-efficient lighting and control systems, variable speed drives on local fan coils and new mechanical controls that will reduce energy consumption on the floor by up to 30% will also be installed.
This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET).

The Building 57, Level 3 School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SAMME) premises are now completed. The Building 57, Level 3 School of Engineering TAFE (SoET) new staff offices are 20% complete.
The northern side of Building 56, Level 5 is 70% complete and the southern side is 60 % complete.
