University collaboration can be major resource in a company’s innovation strategy, but at the School of Computer Science and IT we recognise that what matters to business is that these partnerships must have an impact. In other words, how the new knowledge derived from working with a university affects company performance and the bottom line. Research impact can include:

  • New products
  • New and more effective manufacturing processes
  • New types of computer hardware or software that create organisational efficiencies
  • New (and patentable) materials, designs or processes that enhance competitive advantage

We understand that working with us must advance your company toward its goals. This is why the focus of our research is on collaboration with impact.
