Textile Technology
The Textile Technology programs at RMIT prepare graduates for a range of industries including apparel (sportswear and performance), medical, industrial textiles, automotive, furnishing and interior industries in Australia and overseas.
Programs combine technical knowledge and computer aided design (CAD) skills with design and creativity for the production of marketable products in textiles.
Students build expertise and knowledge of fibres, yarns, knitted, woven and non-woven fabrics and related processes in colour theory, dyeing, printing, coating, product development, design and evaluation.
