RMIT on show

Deadly sins, virtues and ancient mysticism were the words on everyone’s lips at RMIT University’s Flowers ‘n’ Fashion display, part of the 2007 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
Twelve third-year students from the exploratory design specialisation of RMIT’s Bachelor of Design (Fashion) were selected from a pool of 40 to construct their designs, based on this year’s theme: The Language of Flowers – Seven Deadly Sins, Seven Virtues.
The designers were given a budget of $200 and a time limit of 12 hours work over two days. They also had to ensure their final outfits were made up of 80 per cent plant materials.
