“Out of the Basement”

Bachelor of Fine Art (Gold and Silversmithing) Final year, Honours, School of Art, opening night Tuesday 14 November

Exhibition dates: Wednesday 15 – Friday 24 November

With student prizes ranging from $500 to $1,200, this exhibition showcases the Bachelor of Fine Art (Gold and Silversmithing) graduates. Prizes are awarded for excellence in gold and silversmithing and pieces are acquired for RMIT’s goldsmithing collection, which was established back in 1962. Dr Kevin Murray, Director of Craft Victoria, will be launching the exhibition and the Graduate Book, which contains essays and images of the gold and silversmithing work, and is distributed overseas and within Australia. This year’s exhibition features jewellery, jewellery objects, small sculptures, a lantern and small furniture.
