Further details
According to the exhibition curator and RMIT student Francesca Baldi, 'Water connects different continents. In the past it represented the only way to reach distant lands; ships traversing the oceans have helped thousands of people find a new life in a new country, and these people have become part of Melbourne's culture and history.'
Inspired by Melbourne's urban environment and its strong multiethnic scenario, the artists reflect on the meaning of displacement, memories, intimate feelings through the medium of water.
Participating artists are Giordano Biondi, Wayne Fogden, Riza Manalo and Francesca Baldi, who is also the creative producer.
